Abstract:
To provide a method for improving the removal rate of thallium from a zinc sulfate solution with high efficiency without increasing the conventional stages and equipment, and also without increasing the amount of zinc dust to be used in the wet refining of zinc.
The method for removing thallium from a zinc sulfate solution is characterized in that, in the method for treating a zinc sulfate solution used for an electrolytic solution in zinc refining, the zinc sulfate solution is a thallium-containing zinc sulfate solution, and zinc dust and a copper source are added to the thallium-containing zinc sulfate solution.
