Abstract:
To solve a problem such that the decomposition of conventional biodegradable material progresses by microorganisms in soil, and while using the biodegradable material in the soil, the biodegradation of the material progresses gradually by making a contact with the microorganisms in the soil and the strength of the material deteriorates.
By graft-polymerizing a carboxylic vinyl ester with the biodegradable material, it is possible to decrease or lose the biodegradability. By treating the material with hydrolysis, the biodegradability is expressed, and the material is decomposed by the microorganisms in the soil after its disposal.
