Abstract:
To reduce thrust force between rolls and to suppress the occurrence of meandering and camber of a rolled material.SOLUTION: A rolling machine of four or more stages, including a pair of work rolls and a pair of reinforcement rolls includes: a load detection device having one of the rolls as the reference roll, provided in one of upper and lower roll systems, and detecting a load in a reduction direction in a reduction fulcrum position; a thrust reaction force measuring device provided in the roll at an opposite side to the roll system provided with the load detection device; a pressing device provided in one of a rolling direction inlet side and outlet side of a rolled material to a roll chock besides at least the reference roll, and pressing the roll chock in a rolling direction; and a position control device controlling a position in the rolling direction of the roll chock besides the reference roll by fixing a rolling direction position of the roll chock of the reference roll, and operating the pressing device on the basis of a detection result by the load detection device, and a measurement result by the thrust reaction force measuring device.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
