Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission signal setting method for detecting a buried metal and a buried metal detection device using the setting method.SOLUTION: The transmission signal setting method for detecting a buried metal includes: sequentially changing frequencies of transmission signals for detection to transmit a detection signal to a buried metal for each frequency; measuring a current value of a transmission signal at an output end of a transmission-side unit; measuring intensity of a magnetic field generated by the transmission signal; recording the current value of the transmission signal and the intensity of the magnetic field measured for each frequency; correcting the measured intensity of the magnetic field by a reception sensitivity difference due to the frequency of the transmission signal; calculating a receivable distance for each frequency on the basis of the recorded current value of the transmission signal, the corrected intensity of the magnetic field, and the intensity of the magnetic field detectable by a reception-side unit; and setting the transmission-side unit, with a frequency when the receivable distance measured for each frequency respectively is maximized, as an optimal frequency of the transmission signal. When a plurality of frequencies, the measured receivable distances of which are maximal are acquired, the transmission-side unit is set, with a lowest frequency defined as the optimal frequency of the transmission signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
