To provide a resin composition for civil engineering/construction which contains a water-absorptive resin and a specified binder resin and enables sedimentation of the water-absorptive resin to be reduced for a long time when formulated at the site or other processes or stored or the like and further enables handling property and storage stability to be sufficiently improved at the work site by facilitating redispersion and is uniformly coated by suppressing liquid sag even on a vertical surface, an inclined surface or the like.

The resin composition for civil engineering/construction contains the water-absorptive resin, the binder resin, an organic solvent, and a thixotropic agent. The binder resin is a resin having solubility of <10 mass% to 25°C ion exchange water or a resin having a water absorption rate of the ion exchange water which is less than two times of its own weight, and the content of the organic solvent is 25-80 mass% based on 100 mass% of the resin composition.
