Abstract:

To reduce residue from refining dust discharged in copper refining, and to increase the throughput of the raw material for the refining dust.

The method for treating copper converter dust includes: a dilute sulfuric acid leaching treatment where copper converter dust at least comprising copper, arsenic, lead, zinc and cadmium is dissolved into water or a sulfuric acid solution having a sulfuric acid concentration of ≤100 g/L, so as to remove the lead and the other acid-insoluble metals in the copper converter dust; a sulfurizing treatment where a leachate after the dilute sulfuric acid leaching treatment is sulfurized so as to recover the copper and arsenic; and a neutralizing treatment where the post-sulfurizing liquid after the sulfurizing treatment is neutralized, so as to recover the zinc and cadmium.
