Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily operate connect or disconnect an inner cable when fitting/removing a wheel in a hub brake device for bicycles.
SOLUTION: This brake device to be installed in a frame of a bicycle to brake a hub of a wheel is provided with a fixed bracket, a brake drum, a brake shoe, a brake operating part, and an inner installation part 64. The fixed bracket is installed in the frame not to turn. The brake drum integrally rotates with the hub. The brake shoe works the brake drum for braking. The brake operating part makes the brake shoe pressure-contact with the brake drum with rock of an operating arm installed in the fixed bracket freely to rock. The inner installation part has an arm main body part 66, a connection/disconnection part provided in a first end of the arm main body part and installed in a tip of the operating arm part freely to be disconnected and freely to rock, and an inner lock part 68 provided in a second end of the arm main body part.
