Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve resistance to coming off by a caulking part in a hub unit; and facilitate determination when the caulking part is visually inspected.SOLUTION: In the hub unit, a rolling bearing 2 is lockingly fixed to a shaft body 1 by fitting the rolling bearing 2 on the outside of the shaft body 1, and by pressing the caulking part 3, which is formed by deforming one end of the shaft body 1 so as to protrude radially outward, against the outer end face of an inner ring 21 of the rolling bearing 2. A flat surface 3a lying radially is formed on the outer end face of the caulking part, and the axial position of the flat surface 3a is controlled.
