To obtain a human anti-HBs antibody which has a recognition epitope different from that in a known anti-HBs monoclonal antibody and gives a preparation effective in preventing the onset of hepatitis type B without any risk of EBV by making the antibody include a specific amino acid sequence or the like in the CDR-3 of H chain variable domain.
This human anti-HBs antibody possesses such properties that (A) includes amino acid sequence represented by formula I in the CDR-3 of H chain variable domain, (B) contains no EBV and (C) combines with at least adr type among human HBs antigens. This anti-HBs monoclonal antibody contains the amino acid sequence of formula II in the CDR-3 of L chain variable domain, includes the amino acid sequences of formula III and IV in the CDR-1 and CDR-2, respectively, of H chain variable domain and comprises of the amino acid sequences of formula V and VI in the CDR-1 of L chain variable domain and in the CDR-2 of H chain variable domain, respectively. In addition, the medicinal composition is preferably prepared from the anti-HBs monoclonal antibody and a medicinally permissible carrier.
