PURPOSE: To enable the presence of the human body to be surely detected by additionally providing a human body detecting sensor for detecting a person standing in front of a stool in a remote control device provided on the wall surface or the like of a toilet.
CONSTITUTION: A signal transmitting section 9a for transmitting a signal to the stool body 1 side is provided on the lower part of a remote control device 9 and a human body detecting sensor section 9b is provided on the side of the section 9a. When a person stands in front of a stool body 1 while an automatic switch of the remote control device 9 is turned on, the human body detecting sensor section 9b detects the presence of the person and the signal transmitting section 9a sends a command signal to the control circuit on the stool body 1 side. Next, the control circuit operates a motor to open a stool lid 4. When the person leaves the front of the stool body 1, the human body detecting sensor section 9b detects the absence of the person and the signal transmitting section 9a sends the command signal. The control circuit reverses the motor on the basis of the command signal to close the stool lid 4. Thus, the person standing in front of the stool can be surely detected.
