Abstract:
To provide a human body detection sensor and a toilet seat device capable of suppressing false detection due to the influence of potential fluctuation due to an AC power supply.SOLUTION: A human body detection sensor includes: a detection electrode whose capacitance changes depending on the presence or absence of a human body; a detection circuit that detects changes in the capacitance of the detection electrode; a control unit that controls the detection of capacitance by the detection circuit and determines the presence or absence of the human body; and a power supply circuit that converts AC power supplied from an AC power supply to DC power and supplies it to the detection circuit and the control unit. The control unit causes the detection circuit to detect the capacitance of the detection electrode at a predetermined cycle so that the timing of starting the detection of the capacitance of the detection electrode is shifted by a predetermined phase with respect to the cycle of the AC voltage of the AC power supply, where the predetermined phase corresponds to a phase in which one cycle of the AC voltage of the AC power supply is evenly divided by a predetermined number. The control unit determines the presence or absence of the human body based on the average value of at least one of detection results of a predetermined number of capacitances.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
