Title:
HUMAN CHOLECYSTOKININ B RECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3461852
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a novel polypeptide useful as a reagent for detecting a hormone, cholecystokinin, existing in the gastrointestinal cells and cerebral cells of a mammalian or useful for screening the agonist, antagonist of the cholecystokinin B receptor.
CONSTITUTION: A polypeptide containing an amino acid sequence ranging from the first Met to the 447th Gly among the amino acid sequence of human cholecystokinin (hereinafter referred to as CCK) B receptor originated from a human brain cell. The polypeptide is obtained by producing a CDNA library from a RNA originated from the human brain cell by a known method, screening the library with the CDNA of the receptor of gastrin similar to the CCK as a probe, introducing the obtained CDNA coding the human CCK-B receptor into a vector, transforming a host cell with the expression vector, and subsequently culturing the transformant.
