To obtain a DNA which encodes a gastric cancer antigenic protein present in human gastric cancer cells, and thereby, which is useful for a treating and preventing agent for human gastric cancer, a vaccine for treatment or prevention, or the like.
This DNA encodes (A) a protein having an amino acid sequence of formula I or (B) a protein comprising an amino acid sequence of formula I in which one or several amino acids are substituted, deleted, inserted, added or inverted, and capable of activating a cytotoxic T cell recognizing a gastric cancer antigenic protein. Further, the DNA contains preferably a base sequence consisting of at least 45-534 of the base numerical order in the base sequence of formula II, and a human gastric cancer-treating and preventing vaccine containing a recombinant virus or a recombinant bacterium having the DNA is preferably prepared.
