Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an easy-to-handle humidity adjustment agent which displays appropriate humidity adjustment effects.
CONSTITUTION: This humidity adjustment agent consists of a porous material having numerous pores 92 which range from 1 to 10nm in diameter on the average. The diameter of the pore 92 which accounts for 50% of the total number in the porous material is distributed within a range of ±5nm centering around the average diameter. A laminar silica porous material or a laminar silica metal oxide porous material, for example, is used as the porous material. The laminar silica porous material is of a basic structure consisting of stacked plate-like sheet layers 91. Each sheet layer 91 is curved and adjacent sheet layer 91 are partly connected to each other forming a honeycomb three- dimensional skeleton.
