To provide the hurdle for a race which is highly practical, operable and productive as it is movable in the front/rear direction, its structure and operation is simple while its crossbar can be raised/lowered, and it can be manufactured at a low cost.
This hurdle for a race is used for a track race and firmly fixed so that it will not fall down. The hurdle has supports 1 standing on the left and right sides of a race course and a crossbar 2 attached to the supports 1. Guide grooves B are formed on the left and right sides of the course and the supports 1 are structured so that they can move in the front/rear direction inside the grooves B. Each support 1 consists of a support part 3 and an elevating part 4, which are connected by a screw 5 attached to one of them with its top protruding from a discretionary position of the other. Furthermore, the screw 5 has a holding part 6 for holding the other at a prescribed position.
