Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a hybrid former having a MB unit and also capable of stabilizing wire running at the inlet of a twin-wire zone.
CONSTITUTION: This former is a hybrid former of a paper machine having a lower wire loop 10 and a opening part 10a, the single wire part, is installed in the lower wire loop. At the opening part, a drainage device 12 is installed inside the lower wire loop and also a wire guide and drainage devices 13, 100, 15, 16, 17, 18 and 19 are installed following the device 12 in the wire loop. At a draining/forming unit 100, water is drawn off mainly through the upper wire assisted with negative pressures Pa, Pb, Pc and Pd in drain chambers 22A, 22B, 22C and 22D.
