Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make good use of the merits of both the analog and digital computers by applying the output of the sample holding circuit to the analog operator through the analog multiplexer and actuating the analog operator by the digital signals sent from the digital computer. CONSTITUTION:The analog input quantity is held at sample holding circuits SH1 and SH2; the output of SH1 and SH2 are applied to the analog operator through analog multiplexer (1); and multiplexer (1) selects the analog operation elements necessary for the analog operator to carry out the operation. The result of operation is delivered after holding at sample holding circuit SH3. Thus, in the process of the analog system, the merits of both the digital and analog systems can be combined effectively by actuating circuits SH1, SH2, SH3 plus analog multiplexers (1) and (2) by the digital signals sent from the digital computer.
