Abstract:

To provide a hybrid supercharger system capable of restraining an engine load, by increasing supercharging pressure with excellent responsiveness.

A mechanical supercharger (a mechanical SC) 3 and an electric supercharger (an electric SC) 4 are arranged in parallel in an intake passage 2 of an engine 1, and a one-way valve 19 is arranged on the outlet side of the mechanical SC3, and the outlet side of the mechanical SC3 and the inlet side of the electric SC4 are connected by a return passage 20. The electric SC4 operates in a low supercharging pressure or low rotating speed area, and the mechanical SC3 operates in a high supercharging pressure or high rotating seed area. The one-way valve 19 permits the introduction of supercharging air to the engine 1 side from the mechanical SC3, and operates for opening when supercharging pressure of the mechanical SC3 is larger than supercharging pressure of the electric SC4.
