To reduce a synchronizing load and to shorten synchronizing time at the time of gear shift on a hybrid system of a vehicle furnished with a transmission to transmit rotation of an input shaft from an output shaft to a wheel by changing its speed, a first clutch to connect and disconnect the output shaft of an engine and the input shaft of the transmission, a revolving electrical apparatus commonly used as a motor and a generator, a power transmission mechanism to connect input and output shafts of the revolving electrical apparatus and the input shaft of the transmission to each other and a power storing element to store electric power to be supplied from the revolving electrical apparatus.
This hybrid system of a vehicle is furnished with a means to judge a shift command (step 1), a means to find target rotating speed of the input shaft of the transmission from a gear ratio of a target step and rotating speed of the output shaft of the transmission based on the shift command at the time of its judgement (step 4) and a means to carry out rotational control of the revolving electrical apparatus 2 to make rotating speed of the input shaft 41 of the transmission 4 match with the target rotating speed (step 5).
