PURPOSE: To attenuate a noise by an electrical means at a low cost.

CONSTITUTION: A hybrid type noise silencer 1 is provided with a sound receiving plate 2 consisting of a piezoelectric element generating a voltage according to sound pressure when the sound pressure due to a sound from the outside is applied to a sound receiving surface 2S, a resistor 3 energized with a current flowing by the voltage generated from the sound receiving plate 2 and generating joule heat according to the current, a senser 5 detecting the sound transmitting through the sound receiving plate 2 and outputting a signal according to the detected sound and a speaker 6 and a sound wave output circuit 7 outputting a sound wave with a phase opposite to and an amplitude equal to the sound transmitting through the sound receiving plate 2 based on the signal from the senser 5 and attenuating the transmission sound through the sound receiving plate 2.
