To provide a hydraulic shovel having an electric power generator 12 for generating and supplying electric power to a magnet 7 thereby permitting to effectively utilize the electric power generator 12 for supplementing an engine driving force when substituting another working machine installed for the magnet 7.
The electric power generator 12 is utilized as a rotary electric machine 12 having a motor driving function; when another working machine is installed, the rotary electric machine 12 is utilized as a power generator for charging a battery 26 while an engine 8 is being driven for a low load; and when the rotary electric machine is being driven for a high load, the engine driving force is supplemented by the electric power charged previously to the battery 26 during a high load driving, thereby achieving the hybrid type working machine.
