Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an energy efficiency related to heating of a cabin of a hybrid vehicle.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle, traveling on an output of an electric motor operated with battery power and on an output of an internal combustion engine, includes a cabin heating device for heating a cabin with heat generated by the internal combustion engine. In response to a request for heating the cabin, a control apparatus drives the internal combustion engine with a heat generation amount meeting the request for heating, and compensates travel-required power with an output of the electric motor in a case where the output of the internal combustion engine is short of the travel-required power. This configuration suppresses usage of the battery power for the heating of the cabin and reducing fuel consumption of the internal combustion engine as a result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
