Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle control device capable of quickly cooling an excessively heated exhaust emission control catalyst thereby capable of suppressing deterioration in the catalyst and maintaining the purification performance thereof.SOLUTION: An ECU 9 is provided in a hybrid vehicle 1 that includes: an engine 2; a motor 3; a transmission 4 for changing power of them and transmitting the changed power to a driving wheel 8; a clutch 5 for engaging the crank shaft of the engine with the transmission 4, or disengaging them from each other; and an exhaust emission control catalyst 6 for purifying an exhaust gas. When a temperature of the exhaust emission control catalyst 6 obtained by estimating or detecting a temperature of the exhaust emission control catalyst 6 is higher than a prescribed temperature T2 at which purification performance is deteriorated and when necessary torque required to the engine 2 is zero (0), the ECU 9 cools the exhaust emission control catalyst 6 by driving the motor for regeneration and engaging the crank shaft of the engine with the transmission 4 using the clutch 5 thereby introducing fresh air into cylinders 201a-201d of the engine 2.
