To provide a hybrid vehicle not making acceleration feeling worse while improving a fuel cost by continuing EGR as long as possible in acceleration.
A hybrid vehicle 1 comprises an engine 2 capable of returning a part of exhaust to air intake (EGR); a motor generator MG1; a drive shaft 42 driving wheels; a planetary gear 16 coupled to rotation shafts 46, 44 and the driving shaft 42 to distribute power; and a controller 14. In the case where a vehicle speed is a prescribed threshold or more, when detecting an acceleration request, the controller 14 executes first control for performing acceleration processing while maintaining an EGR state, and in the case where the vehicle speed is less than the threshold when detecting the acceleration request, the controller 14 executes second control for temporarily stopping the EGR state to perform the acceleration processing.
