Abstract:

To provide a control technology capable of suppressing occurrence of a difference in deceleration of a vehicle, depending on whether regenerative braking is to be performed.

An ECU 100 of a hybrid vehicle 1 has a function (the highest selectable shift stage specification means) for specifying the highest selectable shift stage, at which the engine rotational speed when the corresponding clutch is in the engagement state is higher than a decided rotational speed, and which is on the highest speed side, according to the vehicle speed, and a function (engine loss power estimation means) for estimating the engine loss power which is a mechanical power acting on a drive wheel 88, according to the engine rotational speed by performing engine braking. In generative braking, while the highest selectable shift stage is selected, and the clutch corresponding to the shift stage is put into engagement state for engine braking, regenerative braking power acting on the drive wheel 88, by performing regenerative braking is set at a value which is obtained by subtracting the engine loss power corresponding to the engine rotational speed when the highest selectable shift stage is selected, from the engine loss power corresponding to the engine rotational speed; and when a shift stage one stage lower than the highest selectable shift stage is selected, generative braking is performed.
