Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a hybrid vehicle which can clean exhaust gas generated from an internal combustion engine.

CONSTITUTION: When the torque Te of an internal combustion engine corresponding to a driver's request torque Td is abruptly increased, the torque increase amount is suppressed to ΔTemax of the maximum output increase amount which can maintain an air-fuel ratio control thereby to suppress the increase in detrimental components in the exhaust gas due to the abrupt increase of the torque Te. For example, when the torque of the engine corresponding to the torque Td is Te and the torque at a time tn is Te', the torque at a time (tn+1) is suppressed to Te= Te'+ΔVTemax. The insufficient torque (Te)-Te'-ΔTemax when suppressed to the ΔTemax is added to the torque Tm of an electric motor to Tm=(Tm)+[(Te)-Te'-ΔTemax], thereby absorbing the insufficient torque of the engine by the motor.
