Abstract:
PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a sufficient residual braking force upon one system failure, by balancing the hydraulic pressures delivered from outlet chambers in accordance with the action of hydraulic pressures upon input hydraulic chambers in a hydraulic control mechanism, and by applying the thus balanced hydraulic pressures into both wheel brakes. CONSTITUTION:A tandem type master cylinder 2 delivers hydraulic pressure from both hydraulic chambers 12, 13 through a pair of outlet ports 3, 4 in accordance with the depression of a brake pedal 11. One outlet port 3 is connected to a front left wheel brake Blf through an oil passage 14 and is connected to one input hydraulic chamber 9 in a hydraulic control mechanism 1 through an oil passage 15 branching off from the oil passage 14. Further the other outlet port 4 is connected to a front left wheel brake Brf through an oil passage 16, and is connected to the other inlet hydraulic chamber 10 through a branch oil passage 17.
