To provide a hydraulic continuously variable transmission capable of easily performing a pre-load to a thrust/radial bearings for supporting each of the swash plates of first and second hydraulic devices, and a power transmission apparatus.
This hydraulic continuously variable transmission is provided with a first hydraulic device 100 having a plunger 43 and a cradle 45 and a second hydraulic device 200 having a plunger 58 and a first yoke member 23A. The plungers 43 and a plunger 58 are energized by a coiled spring 43b and a coiled spring 58b to the cradle 45 and a first yoke member 23A (swash plate) side. The cradle 45 is supported by the outer ring 39a of a tapered roller bearing 39 (first thrust/radial bearing) supporting the input shaft 21. The first yoke member 23A is supported by the outer ring 31a of the tapered roller bearing 31 supporting the input shaft 21. The inner rings 39b and 31b of the tapered roller bearing 39 and 31 are fixed to the input shaft 21 in axial direction.
