This hydraulic continuously variable transmission CVT is constituted by linking a swash plate plunger pump P of fixed capacity type to a swash plate plunger motor M of variable capacity type through a hydraulic closed circuit. A motor swing member 35 is supported so as to incline and swing freely, and its end part protrudes upward in the direction of axis right angle to form an arm part 35a. A tip of the arm part is moved in the axial direction by a motor servo mechanism SV to incline and swing the motor swing member. A storage part 70 protruding upward by surrounding the arm part and the motor servo mechanism is formed in a transmission housing HSG. A servo motor 67 is attached to a side face on one end side in the direction of rotary shaft of an output shaft in the storage part to form the distinguishing symbol display part 71 on a side face on the other end side.
