This hydraulic continuously variable transmission CVT is constituted by a swash plate plunger pump P, a swash plate plunger motor M, and a hydraulic closed circuit connecting them. A motor swing member 35 (motor swash plate) is supported by a motor casing 35 so as to incline and swing, and a swash plate angle can be changed and adjusted. An inner race 41 of a ball bearing 40 supporting a transmission output shaft 6 connecting a pump cylinder 22 and a motor cylinder 32 mutually so as to rotate freely for the motor casing 30 is formed by cutting out an end face part in the direction of width on a side opposing to the motor swing member 35.
