To provide a hydraulic working fluid for shock absorbers which enhances the friction force of the sliding part of a shock absorber, and can keep the friction characteristics for a long term and more particularly to provide a hydraulic working fluid which enhances the friction force between a piston and a cylinder each equipped with a fluororesin sliding material and can keep the characteristics for a long term.
The hydraulic working fluid composition comprises a lubricating base oil, (A) at least one member selected from among a phosphoric ester, a phosphorous ester, and salts thereof each having a 3 to 10C hydrocarbon group, and (B) an ester which is a glycerol ester of a 6 to 30C saturated or unsaturated fatty acid and in which the triester content is 10 mass% or lower based on the total weight of the ester, and the mass ratio of the monoester to the total of the monoester and the diester is 0.5 or higher.
