To provide a variable displacement type hydraulic pump unit, which reduces manual control force and manual control volume for changing a volume of a hydraulic pump main body.
This variable displacement type hydraulic pump unit is connected in a fluid communication manner with a pair of hydraulic motor units in a position separated from the pair of hydraulic motor unit so as to change the output of the pair of hydraulic motor units which are independently mounted, in both of forward and backward directions. The pump unit comprises: the hydraulic pump main body operationally rotated and driven by the power from a driving source; a pump case surrounding the hydraulic pump main body; a displacement adjusting mechanism for changing the displacement of the hydraulic pump main body; and a hydraulic servo mechanism for transmitting the external input based on the manual operation, to the displacement adjusting mechanism by utilizing oil pressure.
