Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shock absorber for air suspension with simply structured damping force adjusting system and damper for air suspension.
SOLUTION: A lower hole 6C is fitted into a cap 7 fastened in position to a lower end portion of a piston nut. An upper hole 6D is fitted to an outer surface of the piston nut 5 and a spool 6 is provided that is urged downward by a spring 8 and guided so as to moveable up and down. A gas spring pressure is introduced into a gas chamber 6A formed in the lower hole of the spool. A pressure in a bypass passageway provided between a soft valve LV and a lower chamber B is introduced to an oil chamber 6B formed in the upper hole of the spool. The bypass passageway is opened and closed in response to the gas spring pressure that varies with a load on a vehicle, thereby allowing the damping force to be selected between soft and hard.
