Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic shock absorber the number of parts of which can be reduced and the entire length of which can be shortened.SOLUTION: A hydraulic shock absorber 1 is provided in which a part of a piston rod 3 is inserted into a cylinder 2, and a first piston 13 and a second piston 14 are joined together sequentially from a tip of a portion which faces the inside of the cylinder 2, of the piston rod 3. In the hydraulic shock absorber 1, the first piston 13 is screwed to a tip part of the piston rod 3, the second piston 14 is fixed to the piston rod 3 by the first piston 13, and attenuation force generation means 29 is provided in the first piston 13. A bottomed cylindrical fitting member 29 in which the first piston 13 fits at a terminal end of a compression stroke and which thereby defines an oil chamber S between the first piston 13 and the bottomed cylindrical fitting member 29, is provided in a fixed condition in the cylinder 2.
