PURPOSE: To obtain a new hydrazine derivative exhibiting an excellent insecticidal effect in a small dose and useful as an active component of an agricultural and horticultural insecticide excellent in environmental safety.
CONSTITUTION: A compound of formula I {Ar1 and Ar2 are a phenyl which may be substituted with a halogen, CN, NO2, an alkyl, etc., or not-substituted or a non-substituted or halogen-or alkyl-substituted heteroaryl containing one to three N, O or S; R1 is H, a 1 to 6C alkyl, a 2 to 6C alkenyl or a 2 to 6C alkynyl; A is formula II to formula V [R2 us R1; B us a 1 to 6C alkylene, a 2 to 6C alkenylene or a 2 to 6C alkynylene which is respectively substituted with a halogen or an alkoxy or not substituted; (n) is 0 or 1; Q is CN, NO2, a 2 to 6C alkenyl, a 2 to 6C alkenylphenyl which may be substntuted, OR3 (R3 is H, an alkyl, phenyl, etc.), S(O)mR3 (m is 0 to 2), etc.]; W is O or S}, e.g. 2-[2-(4-cyanophenoxy)-1-phenylethylidene]-N-(4-trifluoromethoxyphenyl)- hydrazinecarboxamide.
