Abstract:
To provide a technique for increasing a production volume of a hydrocarbon per unit hour at a low cost in a hydrocarbon production apparatus.SOLUTION: A hydrocarbon production apparatus comprises: a reactor for producing a hydrocarbon from carbon dioxide and hydrogen; and a gas supply unit connected to the reactor for supplying the carbon dioxide, the hydrogen, and an oxidant to the reactor. The reactor has: a gas inlet for introducing a gas supplied from the gas supply unit into the reactor; and a gas outlet for discharging the gas in the reactor to the outside. A first catalyst of hydrogen oxidizing ability is located at the gas inlet side in the reactor, whereas a second catalyst of hydrocarbon producing ability is located at the gas outlet side. The second catalyst is heated by hydrogen oxidation heat generated in the first catalyst.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
