To improve the production efficiency of hydrocarbon.SOLUTION: A hydrocarbon production device 1 is provided with a reverse shift catalyst 12 for use in a reverse shift reaction, an FT catalyst 14 for use in an FT reaction, and a separation membrane 8 for separating water from the reaction field. Carbon dioxide and hydrogen are used as starting materials to produce hydrocarbon by the reverse shift reaction and the FT reaction while water is separated from the reaction field.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
