Abstract:
PURPOSE: To absorb a large amount of exudate without impairing medical treatments of wounds by comprising an application product for wounds which consists of a flexible absorbent layer fixable onto the wound of a patient and dehydrated hydrogel material impregnated in the absorbent layer in such a state that it can absorb exudate on contacting the wound. CONSTITUTION: An application product for wounds 10 of a soft flexible gauze- like structure has an absorbent layer 12 impregnated with dehydrated hydrogel material 14 so as to absorb exudate from a wound. Deydrated hydrogel material 14 is preferable to be impregnated fully into minute space of the absorbent layer 12, which is constituted preferably a material capable of supporting the dehydrated hydrogel material 14. The application product for wounds 14 can be removed without adhering and damaging fresh cell tissue formed in the curing wounded area. The whole application product for wounds 10 can be removed as a unit without tearing into fragments or mass.
