Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a segment for performing a control operation for combustion apart from a burner and at the same time to assure safety when hydrogen is ignited.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a hydrogen combustion device 11 provided with a burner 15 for igniting hydrogen at a terminal end of a supply passage 14 for supplying hydrogen gas. A control operation part 13 having a control member for controlling a flow of supplied gas is installed at an upstream side location of the supply passage 14 and a flame diminishing element 26 is installed at a terminal end of the control operation part 13. Then, there is provided a separation part 14d for separating the burner 15 from the control operation part 13 with a distance between a flame port 15a of the burner 15 and the flame diminishing element 26 being applied as a length of less than a DDT distance that is a distance for transfer from a deflagration to detonation between the control operation part 13 and the burner 15 in the supply passage 14. Hydrogen is supplied to the burner 15 at 100 vol% and a speed more than a hydrogen combustion speed to perform a diffusion combustion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
