Abstract:
This control method of a hydrogen generation system 1 involves controlling the electrical potential of an oxygen generating electrode 12 and a hydrogen generating electrode 16 of an electrolytic cell 2 such that, of the oxygen generating electrode 12 and the hydrogen generating electrode 16, the potential change of the electrode that has the greater degradation ratio is smaller than the potential change of the electrode that has the lower degradation ratio.
