Abstract:

To provide a hydrogen occlusion material which is useful as a storage and transportation method of hydrogen, can store hydrogen in relatively light weight and also stably in the state near to normal temperature and pressure, and is easy to release stored hydrogen.

The hydrogen occlusion material has an organic phosphonium salt or a molecular compound composed of the organic phosphonium salt and alcohols. Hydrogen is made to contact with the hydrogen occlusion material under a pressurization to form a hydrogen occluded body.
