To improve the mechanical efficiency by reducing size and weight, as well as reducing weight of a rotor.
In a hydrogen pump 24 which discharges hydrogen gas outside after increasing the pressure of the hydrogen gas sucked inside, a pressure increasing section 53 accommodating pressure increasing members 42, 43 that increase the pressure of the hydrogen gas, and a drive section 30 accommodating a driving source 31 that drives the pressure increasing members 42, 43 are formed. The hydrogen pump 24 is provided with an isolation member 54 that blocks the distribution of hydrogen gas by isolating the pressure increasing section 53 and the drive section 30, and an output transmitting member 34 that transmits the output of the driving source 31 to the pressure increasing members 42, 43 using magnetic force. In case the driving source 31 is a motor it is desirable that a rare earth element based magnet 35 contained in the drive section 30 is used as the magnet for the motor.
