Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen storage alloy electrode which has a high capacity and can be rapidly charged, and a manufacturing method for it. SOLUTION: A hydrogen storage alloy electrode has a layer mainly made of a hydrogen storage powder which electro-chemically stores and discharges hydrogen, on a conductive support body, and its surface is coated with a water repellent layer of fluorine. The water repellent layer of fluorine has at least two secondary amino groups in its molecule, and is hardened by applying straight-chain perfluoro compound having divalent perfluoroalkylene or divalent perfluoropolyether structure in a principal chain, and a composition of fluorine epoxy compound containing at least three epoxy groups in its molecule.
