Title:
HYDROGEN-STORING ALLOY NEGATIVE ELECTRODE AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3664952
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen-storing alloy negative electrode excellent in all of discharging characteristics at an initial stage in a charge/discharge cycle, gas absorbing property upon charging and cycle life without need of any complicated production step, and a production method thereof.
SOLUTION: The hydrogen-storing alloy negative electrode (1) used in a nickel hydride cell is equipped with a base plate (2) and a negative electrode plate (3) formed by coating the base plate with a hydrogen-storage alloy composition having hydrogen-storage alloy powder, a conductor, a binder and a dispersing agent, and the negative electrode plate as a surface part (4) with a predetermined water repellent rate and on which a plurality of projections are formed.
