Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new catalyst having extremely high catalyst activity, excellent in a hydrogenation selectivity and heat resistance, storage stability and durability of the catalyst activity, and hardly affected from an effect of co-existing impurities by using a specific compound and a component selected from organic compounds of the groups I-III metals, or the like.
SOLUTION: This catalyst contains (A) a compound selected from formulae I-IV [M1 to M4 are each Ti, Zr or the like; X1 and X2 are each a 5-20C monofunctional hydrocarbon containing cyclopentadiene skeleton; A is R1O or a halogen; B is R2O; R1 and R2 are each a 9-20C alkyl or the like; X3 to X8 are each a 5-20C bifunctional hydrocarbon containing cyclopentadiene skeleton; Z1 and Z2 are each a 1-3C bifunctional hydrocarbon, a (poly)silylene having 1-3 Si number or the like; C is R3O or a halogen; D is R4O; R3 and R4 are each a 6-20C aryl or the like; R5 to R8 are each a single bond or a 1-20C bifunctional hydrocarbon wherein the total carbon number of R5 and R6 or R7 and R8 is 3-20; A1 and A2 are each a single bond or a (poly)silylene having 1-3 Si number, or the like] and (B) a component selected from organic compounds of the groups I-III metals or a halogenated compound or the like.
