Abstract:

To provide a hydrophilic composition which excels in stainproofness, antifogging properties, and the quick-drying properties for water or the like on various type of support surfaces and forms a hydrophilic film having good rub resistance and mar resistance on the surface of a support.

The hydrophilic composition comprises (A) a hydrophilic polymer having a silane coupling group at the terminal of a polymer chain and containing a structural unit having a specific structure and (B) an alkoxide compound of an element selected from Si, Ti, Zr, and Al, and a hydrophilic member is obtained from the hydrophilic composition, and its manufacturing method is disclosed.
