Abstract:
To provide an HST system capable of using engine brake regardless of whether or not a brake pedal is pressed down.SOLUTION: An HST system 1 used for vehicle travel comprises a pump regulator 23 which changes capacity of a pump 22 and a control device 51 which controls a motor regulator 25 changing capacity of a motor 24. The control device 51 determines whether or not a specific downslope condition is met on the basis of detection results of a vehicle speed detector 62 detecting a vehicle speed and a rotation speed detector 61 detecting a rotation speed per unit time of an engine 21 and, when a pressing-down amount of an accelerator pedal 52 detected through a pressing-down amount detector 63 is zero and the specific downslope condition is met, controls the motor regulator 25 so as to increase the capacity of the motor 24.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
