Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain high hydrous property and high oxygen permeability, to give excellent fitness feeling, to reduce the effect on eyes and to suppress the sticking or depositing of protein, lipid or the like by incorporating a specific high polymer.
CONSTITUTION: A high polymer obtained by copolymerizing polymer components containing a methacrylic ester expressed by a formula I and an itaconic diester expressed by a formula II is incorporated. In the formula I, R1 represents hydrogen atom or methyl group, R2 represents (CH2CHR4)n- or (CH2CHR4)-CH2 CHR4- (where R4 represents hydrogen atom or methyl group and (n) represents an integer of 1-8), R3 is 1-8C alkyl group or hydroxyalkyl group. In the formula II, each of R5 and R6 is the same or different group and represents (CH2CHR7- O)m-H, -CH2CH2CH2CH2OH-CH2CH(OH)CH2OH or -CO-OHCH-OHCH2 (where R7 represents hydrogen atom or methyl group and (m) represents an integer of 1-6).
