PURPOSE: To produce a hydroxylamine derivative effective as a lipoxygenase inhibitor and useful for treating inflammatory and allergic diseases.
CONSTITUTION: The compd. of the formula I (R is H, alkyl, aryl, biaryl, chcloalkyl or the like; Z is alkylene or vinylene; Y is SO2 or CO; A is O, S or a direct bond; B is alkylene or is lower alkenylene provided that A is a direct bond ; X is O or S; R1 is H, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, carbocyclic or heterocyclic aryl-alkylaminocarbonyl or the like; R2 is alkyl, alkoxycarbonyl-alkyl, cycloalkyl, amino or the like; R3 and R4 are H or alkyl; Ra is H, alkyl, halo or the like) or the salt thereof such as 2-(3-phenylpropyl)-6-=[2-(N- aminocarbonylN-hydroxyamino)ethoxy]-1l-oxo-1l,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinoline. The compd. is obtd. by bringing the compd. of the formula II to react with the compd. of the formula III in the presence of a condensing agent.
