Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:The indole derivative of formula I [R<1> is H, (substituted)1-6C alkyl, 6-12C aralkyl or 6-12C aryl] or the aminocyclohexylacetic acid derivative of formula II (R<2>=R<1>). USE:A drug. An active component of a hypotensor. It is administered at a rate of 1-2,000mg of the active component per day. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be produced by the photosensitive oxidization of tyrosine or its derivative in an alkaline solution of e.g. Na2CO3 using a sensitizer (e.g. rose bengal or methylene blue) and a visible light source (e.g. halogen lamp) while passing O2 gas through the reaction system. The obtained compound of formula I is hydrogenated in a solvent (e.g. methanol) in the presence of a catalyst (e.g. Pd/C), the catalyst is removed by filtration and the filtrate is added with NaBH4 and reacted with an alkaline aqueous solution to obtain the compound of formula II.
